Shared living/roommate for rent

Overview

Hi! I'm looking for a roommate in my 2bd/1ba apartment on the UES with an ideal move-in date of July 1-15. The apartment is on 81st and 3rd, so it's near both the Q and the 4/5/6 (and Central Park, and a lot of restaurants/bars, it's kinda a fun neighborhood!). Ideally, you'd sublet through the end of the current lease, and then join the lease for the beginning of October, but happy to discuss! The apartment is a third floor walkup with a dishwasher and a lot of light. There's no washer/dryer but there's a laundromat around the corner. The price for the whole apartment is $3400 - so it'll be $1700/room plus utilities (usually around $70/mo for electric, gas, and internet). I haven't heard yet whether there will be a rent increase for the next lease but will try to get an answer and don't currently expect one. The bedroom won't be furnished but the rest of the apartment will be! A little about me: I'm 30 and a lawyer at a nonprofit - I'll mostly be working outside the house (or occasionally in DC). I'm originally from NYC, and taught high school history before law school. In my free time I like running, reading, watching baseball, and occasionally glassblowing.
